Nollywood actress Blessing Obasi-Nze has opened up about the hurdles she and her husband, actor Stan Nze, encountered on their path to marriage.
In an interview with media personality Tope Olowoniyan, Blessing revealed that many people tried to dissuade Stan from marrying her due to their age difference. Some even suggested that her age might affect their ability to have children. Despite the advice, Stan remained resolute and chose to marry her.
The actress shared how deeply moved she was when her husband surprised her on Mother’s Day, a gesture that reminded her of their journey together and the strength of their relationship. She fondly recalled the times she supported him during his early struggles, including the sacrifices she made when he had very little.
Blessing described marrying Stan as the best decision of her life. The mother of one expressed gratitude that her husband appreciates their shared past and the support she provided, emphasizing that she would choose him again and again.
She said: “Marrying my husband has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I remember people told him not to marry me because I was older, but he didn’t listen.
“They even said I might reach menopause without giving birth, yet he still chose me. Through it all, he remembers the ways I supported him when he had nothing and the sacrifices I made for him. I will choose my husband today, tomorrow, and forever.”
