The manager of Manchester City Pep Guardiola has shed more light to his future at Manchester City following the exit of Enzo Maresca at Chelsea.

Guardiola was asked about his future ahead of the game against Chelsea. He comfirmed that he is focused on City and happy to be there as Guardiola has reiterated that he plans to see out his current contract

He stressed that he is frustrated by exit rumour when asked about speculation linking former assistant Enzo Maresca with succeeding him at City. Guardiola dismissed the rumours as unfounded and expressed irritation at the constant questioning about his future.

What did Guardiola say about his future at Manchester City?He stressed he’s under contract and focused on the team.

“You want to fire me?! No, good. My salary is so high. So I have one more year on my contract. How can I give you an update about an opinion that I don’t know about this opinion – it’s just a rumour. So, I’m sorry, I’m not going to answer that”.

He insists he isn’t leaving soon. Guardiola has emphasised repeatedly that he will leave “one day,” but that day isn’t imminent and, crucially, he has a contract to honour and is happy to continue.
