Things took a dramatic turn in Los Angeles on Thursday morning, after popular rapper and two-time Grammy winner, Lil Nas X, was arrested and hospitalized.

According to USA Today, the 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was picked up by police just after 6 a.m. on August 21.

LAPD officers said they responded to a call around 5:50 a.m. about a nude man walking along the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard.

On arrival, the suspect allegedly charged at the officers before being subdued and taken into custody. He was later rushed to a hospital for a possible overdose and booked for battery on a police officer.

Though authorities initially withheld the name, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department inmate records confirmed it was Lil Nas X.
