Chocolate City Music has accused rapper Odumodublvck of physically attacking one of its employees during the Rhythm Unplugged concert held in Lagos on Monday.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the record label described the incident as a serious escalation in the ongoing feud between Odumodublvck and Chocolate City artist Blaqbonez, whose real name is Emeka Akumafule.
According to the statement, Feyi Ajayi, a staff member, was backstage alongside another artist when Odumodublvck allegedly confronted him, threatened the label and its executives, and headbutted him without any provocation. Eyewitnesses reportedly saw Odumodublvck and his team pour drinks on Ajayi and hurl abusive language when a bodyguard attempted to intervene.
Chocolate City confirmed that Ajayi was hospitalized and is currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the incident.
The label described the assault as part of a pattern of harassment linked to the rivalry between Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez. In its statement, Chocolate City referenced previous encounters, including an altercation at Landmark Beach in December 2024, disputes in Uyo, and a confrontation at a fashion event in England in 2025. The company also highlighted ongoing online harassment directed at Blaqbonez, his manager Morin Oluwatobi, and Chocolate City executive Osagie Onobun.
The label further alleged that Odumodublvck sent over 100 threatening messages to Blaqbonez and other members of the organisation, some of which targeted family members and industry colleagues.
“While rap rivalries are a common part of hip-hop, acts of physical violence, stalking, verbal abuse, and intimidation are completely unacceptable,” Chocolate City said.
The company confirmed it has reported the incident to the authorities and will pursue legal measures to safeguard its staff, artists, and executives. Chocolate City also urged event organizers and industry stakeholders to enhance security at live shows and take a strong stance against violence.
Representatives for Odumodublvck were not immediately available to comment.
The feud between Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck reportedly began in June 2025, following the release of Blaqbonez’s diss track Who’s Really Rapping, which Odumodublvck perceived as a personal attack, triggering a heated online exchange between the two artists.
