Global singing sensation Rema has called off his eagerly awaited concert in Atlanta Georgia, US.

A now-viral clip sees the Afrorave act angrily walking off stage after accusing the event organisers of disrespecting not just his person but the most popular African music genre, Afrobeats.

According to reports, the singer’s decision was to prioritise the safety and well-being of his fans and crew due to the potential health risks associated with extreme heat owing to the soaring temperature of the facility.

Visibly irate Rema announced the cancellation of the show midway into his performance at the venue.

He expressed his heartfelt regret for whatever inconvenience his decision may have caused to ticket holders and the large crowd of admirers who had come to enjoy experience some ‘soundgasm’.

Clad in a hooded jacket, the singer after performing two songs, expressed his grievances and walked off stage leaving behind a disgruntled crowd.
