Music producer Samklef has ignited intense discussions across social media after boldly stating that, in his opinion, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is performing better than former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Samklef praised Tinubu’s decisiveness, economic reforms, and security strategies.
According to Samklef, Tinubu’s hands-on approach is better suited to the complex economic and security challenges facing Nigeria today.
He emphasized that what stands out most is Tinubu’s willingness to take bold decisions, moves he believes many previous leaders would have avoided.
However, his opinion has stirred a storm of reactions, while some supporters agreed with him, applauding Tinubu’s policies and describing Samklef’s take as honest and timely, others pushed back strongly.
Critics argued that Obasanjo’s legacy from securing debt relief to stabilizing Nigeria after years of military rule still remains unmatched.
One user commented: “How can you compare Obasanjo’s regime to Tinubu’s? Are you for real?” Another added: “Tinubu is trying, we’re just not patient enough. Change doesn’t happen overnight.”
