Joint security operatives have taken over Pinnacle Oil and Gas filling stations in Enugu following a foiled attack on one of the outlets by hoodlums on Tuesday night.

It was further gathered the hoodlums also shot consistently into the air, dispersing many people, including motorists buying fuel to enable the fire to spread.

But, some armed policemen nearby who heard the gunshots were said to have promptly arrived the scene to repel the attackers who fled upon sighting them.

The resultant fire, it was gathered, which did not cause major damage, as it was quickly put out by the workers who used fire extinguishers to contain it before the arrival of the men of the fire service.
