Leading Nigerian event ticketing platform, Shows.NG, has announced the acquisition of Cenivo Communication, a UK-based virtual events and meeting platform, as part of its expansion into the virtual events space.

The deal, which was finalized recently, will see Shows.NG fully take over the operations of Cenivo to launch a new product called ShowsMeet, a virtual event and meeting platform that will be fully integrated into the Shows.NG ecosystem.

According to a statement on the company’s official website, ShowsMeet will be run entirely by the Shows.NG team, signaling a strategic move to broaden its offerings beyond physical events and tap into the growing demand for virtual and hybrid event solutions.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Speaking on the development, the company noted that the acquisition marks a “new chapter” in its journey and will position Shows.NG to serve both local and international event organisers who require a reliable virtual meeting infrastructure.

Industry insiders believe the move could boost Nigeria’s presence in the global event-tech space and create new opportunities for event professionals looking to host digital gatherings without relying on foreign platforms.
