A 31-year-old woman, Phume Nhlangulela, was murdered allegedly by her boyfriend in Inanda Township, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Women For Change advocacy group disclosed this in a statement on Monday, June 10, 2024.

According to the statement, after Phume went missing and her family started looking for her, they discovered her half-naked and decomposing body inside a room allegedly rented by her boyfriend at Amatikwe in Inanda on 5 June 2024.

Phume was allegedly lying on the floor, with hands above her head, covered with a blanket.

She sustained a visible head injury, and it is also believed that she was strangled.

The boyfriend fled the scene and is on the run.

Once the family shared the heartbreaking story on social media, many people contacted them, including a person who accused the suspect of murdering another woman at her place in Durban.

No one has been arrested.
