The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced plans to prosecute TikToker Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, in connection with a vehicular incident that occurred in Sagamu on November 1, 2025.
The Ministry’s decision comes after the social media personality was reportedly involved in a third road crash in two months on November 23, 2025, in Lekki, Lagos State.
Details of the Incident and Charge
The Ministry’s statement detailed the Sagamu incident where DJ Chicken seriously injured two people and attempted to flee the scene:
“On 1 November 2025, Mr Abiodun crashed into two motorcycles in Sagamu, Ogun State, seriously injuring a rider and a lady passenger. Mr Abiodun was unremorseful and attempted to leave the scene of the incident, which provoked an angry reaction from passersby who mobbed him,” the statement noted.
The Ministry cited his repeated reckless behavior as the reason for the criminal prosecution:
“Yesterday’s incident is reportedly the third road crash in two months involving Mr Abiodun at the wheel.”
The statement labeled him a “special danger” to the community:
“While it may be reasonable to allow crash victims get compensation from persons who have driven recklessly and to resolve road traffic collisions as a civil wrong, some road users are special dangers to society and should be held to account under criminal law. Mr Abiodun is one such person.”
Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, has directed that action on the case be expedited, stating:
“The State must intervene to protect the public. Mr Abiodun’s actions make it imperative that he be held accountable under criminal law,” the statement reads.
