Taylor Swift has become the first artist in history to simultaneously debut a film, album, and song at number one in the United States.

Her new album, Life of a Showgirl, and the lead single, The Fate of Ophelia, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts, respectively.

The extended promotional film, Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, also topped the US box office this week.

Taylor Swift has also become the first artist in history to occupy the entire top ten on the Hot 100 on three separate occasions.

With Life of a Showgirl, she set a new record as the first solo artist in history to achieve 15 number-one albums on the Billboard 200.

The album sold 4.002 million units, making it the biggest first-week album sales record in the world.
