Brazil football legend, Ronaldo De Lima, was keen to point out that the best player in the world is “black”.
Ronaldo was reacting to the announcement of his compatriot Vinicius Junior as the FIFA Best Men’s Player of the Year for 2024 on Tuesday night.
“They tried to erase you, my friend and you danced on them,” he wrote on social media.
“The best player in the world is Black and Brazilian.”
Vinicius won the award after missing out on the Ballon d’Or to Manchester City’s Rodri in October.
The 24-year-old and the entire Real Madrid delegation cancelled their plans to attend the gala, because they felt Vinicius was cheated.
