Marc Guehi’s move to Liverpool from Crystal Palace has collapsed, according to Sky Sports.
The Premier League champions’ pursuit of Guehi has fallen through despite a deal sheet being submitted for the Eagles skipper.
Liverpool had until 9 pm to finalise the transfer, but it appears the Palace captain will remain at Selhurst Park this summer.
Brighton defender Igor Julio had been lined up as Guehi’s replacement at Selhurst Park.
Igor underwent a medical at the club earlier today before changing his mind and opting to join West Ham instead.
That may have scuppered Guehi’s move. Palace will now keep the player but risk losing out on £35m if he departs on a free transfer next summer.
