Transfer: Man United Take Decision On Re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United have no plans of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club for the third time, according to TeamTalk.

The Red Devils have no intention of re-signing Ronaldo, even though his future with Al-Nassr remains uncertain.

Ronaldo has been playing in the Saudi Super League club since December 2022.

The 40-year-old has had a superb stint at Al-Awwal Park, scoring over 100 times across competitions, the fourth time he has struck over 100 times for a club (also Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus).

Despite signing a new contract last year that was meant to keep him with the Knights of Najd until the summer of 2027, Ronaldo is reportedly considering his future at the club because of financial issues.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner remains one of the sport’s top earners, with an estimated annual salary over $225 million (excluding add-ons and other benefits), the Knights of Najd have been quiet in recent transfer windows while their fellow PIF-owned rivals have flexed their financial muscle.

Despite this, teamTALK has mentioned that the senior management at Old Trafford are not thinking about a dramatic reunion with Ronaldo, more than three years after a bitter split, during which the star player criticized the club in a fiery interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.

Frustrated by a perceived lack of financial support from the Saudi sovereign wealth fund PIF (Public Investment Fund), jeopardizing the Knights’ on-field competitiveness, Cristiano Ronaldo could be on the move this summer.

Old Trafford might not be his next destination.

The 40-year-old spent seven and a half seasons with United, during two separate periods, winning three Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League title, along with other domestic and continental trophies.
