Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully apprehended a high-profile terrorist, Alhaji Adamu Bajara, in Plateau State.

The Army in a statement said the suspect, who has been on multiple security watchlists, was arrested when troops raided his residence on October 17, 2024.

“Troops raided the residence of a known terrorist in Ambakka village, located at the Plateau-Nasarawa border. The operation resulted in the arrest of Alhaji Adamu Bajara, a wanted person on multiple security watchlists,” the statement read.

“Three AK-47 rifles and two rounds of 7.62mm (special) ammunition were recovered from his residence while the troops continued to pursue his accomplices.

“The Troops also responded swiftly to a report of cattle rustling in Mile 8, Pankshin Local Government Area, recovering 46 stolen livestock after overpowering the criminals in the encounter.”
