Nigerian duo Chibuike Nwaiwu and Paul Onuachu inspired Trabzonspor to a 3-1 victory over Fatih Karagumruk at the Papara Park on Friday night.

Nwaiwu bagged a brace, while Onuachu registered a goal, and an assist.

Onuachu opened scoring for the hosts in the 20th minute.

It was the forward’s 18th league of the season for Trabzonspor.

Daniel Verde equalised for Fatih Karagumruk in the 26th minute.

Trabzonspor regained the lead through Nwaiwu two minutes after the break.

Onuachu then set up his compatriot for the Black Sea Storm’s third goal in the 50th minute.

Nwaiwu has registered two goals, and one assist in six league outings for Trabzonspor this season.

Third-placed Trabzonspor now have 48 points from 24 matches, four points behind Fenerbache, who have a game in hand.
