Ajax head coach, John Heitinga has said his side must stop Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen in their UEFA Champions League clash, NEWSUNPLUG reports.

Ajax will welcome the Turkish Super Lig champions to the Johan Cruyff Arena for a matchday four encounter on Wednesday (today).

Osimhen has impressed for Galatasaray in the competition this season with three goals in two outings.

The Nigeria international has contributed six goals in seven outings across all competitions for Okan Buruk’s side.

Heintiga said it is important for Ajax to neutralise the 26-year-old.

“Victor Osimhen is a great striker. He’s smart, strong, and fast; you have to be smart about that. He’s a pretty complete player but we will do everything in our power to neutralise him,” Heitinga said ahead of the game.
