Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has said he is not surprised by the dressing room bust-up that saw Sadio Mane punch his Bayern Munich team-mate, Leroy Sane.
The incident happened after their first-leg Champions League quarter-final defeat with Manchester City, which they lost 3-0.
Sane was pictured with a bruised lip afterwards, while Mane was suspended and fined by the Bundesliga champions.
“That’s football, I’m not surprised at all.
“I know it makes headlines but if something doesn’t go right on the football pitch, questions get asked, sometimes arms get raised, voices go to a higher pitch and that is part and parcel,” Ferdinan said on BT Sport on Wednesday.
