Ucl: Osimhen Outscores Boyhood Hero, Drogba

Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen has now scored more goals in the UEFA Champions League than his boyhood hero, Didier Drogba, NEWSUNPLUG reports.

Osimhen helped Galatasaray secure a place in the Round of 16 of the competition at the expense of Juventus on Wednesday night.

The powerful striker scored Galatasaray’s first goal in the 3-2 defeat at the Juventus Stadium.

The Turkish Super Lig champions however prevailed 7-5 on aggregate.

Osimhen’s goal was his 16th in the Champions League , one more than Drogba (15th), putting him in second position in the all-time Africa’s scoring chart.

Guinea international, Serhou Guirassy, who plays for Borussia Dortmund remains Africa’s most prolific player in the competition with 18 goa
