Nigerian social critics Very Dark Man (VDM) and Mr. Jollof, who are long-time public rivals, reportedly exchanged blows while onboard a United Nigeria flight traveling from Asaba to Lagos on Monday, November 17.
The altercation took place in the presence of other passengers, with comedian FunnyBone allegedly attempting to intervene and separate the two. Both men were subsequently removed from the aircraft.
The feud between the two personalities is well-documented and previously escalated to a defamation lawsuit filed by Mr. Jollof’s wife against VDM following VDM’s controversial social media accusations. VDM himself confirmed the physical fight in a post, claiming he “dealt with Mr Jollof.”
In a video he posted on his handle, VDM said
‘’I don chop Jollof fada for inside plane., Man when dey bite. E nor shame, e dey bite. Man when dey bite. I be@t….dem dey beg…dem dey help am. I enter plane, I see am naim I tell am say today you go slap me oo…I go near and naim e punch me…when I follow am, e start to bite me…him eye red’’
