Former Nigeria international, Victor Ikpeba has called out two players following Super Eagles’ 2026 World Cup qualifying semi-final playoff 4-1 win against Gabon on Thursday.

Recall that goals from Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke and a brace from Victor Osimhen gave Eric Chelle’s side the victory against Gabon in Rabat, Morocco.

Speaking after the game, Ikpeba called on both Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze to step up their game for the Super Eagles.

According to him, Super Eagles fans and Nigerians in general would like to see more from the pair.

Lookman and Chukwueze struggled to influence the match and were both substituted in the second half.

Chidera Ejuke replaced Chukwueze, while Moses Simon replaced Lookman.

“The likes of Chukwueze and Lookman, we need to see more from these two players,” Ikpeba said on SuperSport.

Nigeria will now face DR Congo in the World Cup playoff final on Sunday.
