Inter Milan legend Wesley Sneijder has predicted that Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe will win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

According to the Dutchman, Mbappe has the potential to claim the prestigious individual award next year due to the current points system.

Speaking to Marca, the 41-year-old said: “I maintain that with the current points system, I’m almost certain Mbappe will win the trophy next season, 100 per cent.

“Plus, he’s become a true striker – he’s more effective than when he played on the wing, and Real Madrid doesn’t need a player like Haaland.

“As for Vinicius, he might win it the following year. Both of them have the potential.”

Mbappe has been impressive for both club and country so far this season.
