According to reports the Spanish government have reportedly opened investigation into the La Liga president, Tebas following his comment about Real Madrid.
The Spanish government has reportedly initiated action against LaLiga president Javier Tebas over remarks he made about Real Madrid, with the league chief potentially facing disqualification from his position.
According to reports, the government intends to file a complaint with Spain’s Administrative Tribunal for Sport (TAD), seeking to address Tebas’ comments, which have drawn scrutiny amid ongoing tensions involving the Spanish league and Real Madrid.
The potential complaint could place Tebas under disciplinary proceedings, with disqualification from his position among the possible consequences, depending on the nature of the allegations and the outcome of the process.
Tebas, who has led La Liga since 2013, has frequently been involved in public disputes with Real Madrid and its president, Florentino Pérez, over issues affecting Spanish football.
However, the precise grounds for the reported complaint and the specific statements that prompted the government’s move will be central to determining whether the matter results in formal disciplinary action.
Further details are awaited as the situation develops.
