A Nigerian content creator has sparked online debate after reacting to an unconfirmed report suggesting that FIFA could ban Senegal from participating in the 2026 World Cup following their controversial walkout during the Africa Cup of Nations final against Morocco.

Nigerian content creator backs rumoured FIFA decision

The content creator, identified as Adika, spoke in a humorous yet pointed video shared on TikTok, where he condemned Senegal’s decision to leave the pitch in protest over alleged refereeing bias.

Senegal eventually returned to complete the match, which they won 1–0 in extra time to lift the AFCON trophy.

According to Adika, allowing Senegal to escape punishment could set a dangerous precedent for African football, where teams might feel justified walking off the pitch whenever decisions do not go their way.\

He argued that such actions undermine the integrity of the game, especially at a major tournament final.

While laughing throughout the video, Adika urged FIFA to hand Senegal’s potential World Cup slot to another African nation if a ban is enforced, jokingly suggesting Nigeria as a deserving replacement.

He also added that Morocco should not be exempt from scrutiny if sanctions are eventually imposed.
