Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Indian cricket superstar, Virat Kohli have been named in the list of most influential sports persons in the World.

The cricketer is behind Ronaldo and Messi in the list on Instagram and is the most influential Asian athlete in the world, according to HypeAuditor.

The trio are all masters of their respective trades, boasting massive followings on social media.

Ronaldo currently laces his boots for a club in Saudi Arabia.

The Portuguese is the most followed person on Instagram with 584 million followers.

His Argentine rival, Messi also enjoys a massive fan base with 463 million people following him on Instagram.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner is playing his football in the French Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain.

Kohli, on the other hand, has 249 million followers on Instagram and represents the Indian national cricket team.

He plays for Indian Premier League franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore.
