Manchester United Donny van de Beek says he is disappointed the season is over for him.
Van de Beek successfully underwent surgery as a result of his injury and is now hoping for a quick recovery.
United manager at a press conference to preview the much-anticipated Old Trafford encounter with rival Manchester City said he was set to be out.
The playmaker took to Twitter to thank fans and his family for their lovely messages and encouragement.
He wrote, “I am really disappointed that the season is over for me. After successful surgery, it’s time to start my recovery process and will do everything to come back stronger for this club. Thank you all for the lovely messages, they mean a lot to me and my family.”
