Former Chelsea defender, Jason Cundy has urged his former club, under the leadership of co-owner Todd Boehly, to sign Brentford striker, Ivan Toney, in the summer.
Cundy believes Toney could be a perfect fit for Chelsea should he join the Blues.
Chelsea are keen to sign a No.9 in the summer transfer window in a bid to bolster their attacking options.
“Do we need a centre forward?” Yes, we do… Ivan Toney has his issues off the field with what is happening with the betting situation he has been charged with; let’s wait and see,” Cundy said (via Caught Offside).
“He is a Chelsea centre-forward to me, the way he’s, the way he looks, the way he plays. We need a platform.
“We need a rugged, hard, clever, intelligent footballer up front. He ticks a lot of boxes. Plus, he knows the Premier League.”
