Anita Okoye, the ex-wife of Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, has appreciated him for showing up for their daughter, Nadia Okoye.
Newsunplug reported that the father of four, who is in Atlanta, where his ex-wife, Anita Okoye, resides, had taken his mini-me to a daddy-daughter dance. He had shared a video of them dancing, which left many drooling.

Sharing a video of their sweet moment on her Instagram page, she revealed that last year her daughter couldn’t attend and that her little heart was crushed.
Anita said she made one simple request to Paul that he should show up for her. She made it known that there was no drama, extras or anything, but just him showing up. The mother of three said her daughter, who didn’t think her father would show up, told her to dress up in a blazer and to accompany her to the dance.

The former Mrs Okoye expressed gratitude to God for the memories, reminding them that when they put their children first and lead with love, God honours it in ways they can’t orchestrate. She appreciated Paul for showing up, noting how their daughter will never forget.

“Last year she couldn’t attend, and her little heart was crushed.
This year, I made one simple request… SHOW UP FOR HER!
That was it. No drama. No extras. Just SHOW UP!
Nadia, determined as ever, told me, “Mama, buy the ticket. If my dad can’t make it, you’re coming with me, and we’re going to have fun.”
She picked her dress, styled me in a blazer (because apparently I needed direction ), and was ready either way.
What she didn’t know… I was quietly coordinating with her dad behind the scenes for MONTHS. I was anxious. I prayed. I released it to God.
And then he texted, “I’M HERE.”
When he walked into our house, the look on her face… pure shock. Pure joy. The kind of joy you can’t manufacture.
We switched dresses to match his black-and-white, I chauffeured the duo to the dance, and they danced the night away, creating a memory she will carry forever.
I’m so grateful to God for moments like this… reminders that when we put our children first and lead with love, He honours it in ways we can’t orchestrate ourselves.
Thank you to Nadia’s dad for showing up. She will never forget it”.
