Omar congratulates Tinubu, seeks peaceful transition

Former Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) President Comrade Abdulwahed Omar has congratulated the President Elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He wished Tinubu, the Vice President-Elect Senator Kashim Shettima and National Assembly elect-members Allah’s guidance and protection throughout their tenure.

He praised the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) for successful conduct of the presidential and National Assembly elections.

He urged Nigerians to return peacefully to the polls on March 18 to elect their Governors and Assembly members.

Speaking with reporters in Kaduna, he said:

“I want call on INEC to address the problem associated with the last elections ranging from delays in delivering sensitive election materials to some polling units, inadequate staff orientation on handling Bimodal Voter Accreditation Systems (BVAS) among other issues.”
