Nigerian singer and songwriter Shallipopi has opened up about his decision to leave Dapper Music and establish his own record label, Plutomania Records.
The Afrobeats star reflected on his journey in a statement shared online, expressing gratitude to God for giving him the opportunity to move on from the label and build his own platform.
According to Shallipopi, he believes there were plans to bring him down during his time with Dapper, but he remained confident that he was destined for success.
“I thank God I had to leave Dapper to unveil My own record label, Plutomania Records. Their plan was to crush me but I was destined to be on the top,” he said.
Since launching Plutomania Records, Shallipopi has continued to expand his influence in the Nigerian music industry, while also supporting other emerging artistes through his platform.
His latest comments have sparked reactions among fans, with many discussing his experience at Dapper and his decision to pursue independence with his own record label.
